For over 25 years, Margaret has been dedicated to helping people reconnect with the sounds, conversations, and relationships that shape everyday life. As the founder of Hearing Art and a registered Hearing Aid Practitioner in Alberta, she has built her practice around a simple philosophy: hearing care should feel personal, compassionate, and never rushed. Margaret listens.

Known for her compassionate and meticulous approach, Margaret takes the time to truly understand each patient’s story, lifestyle, and hearing goals. She believes the best outcomes happen when people feel comfortable, understood, and supported — not pressured.

Fluent in English, Cantonese (Hong Kong), and Mandarin, Margaret is passionate about creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. She understands how important communication and trust are in healthcare, especially when discussing hearing and quality of life.

Her passion for helping others extends far beyond the clinic. Margaret is one of the founders of “Gift of Hearing,” a humanitarian initiative focused on bringing hearing care and hearing aids to underserved communities internationally. She has also been actively involved in volunteer and community work throughout Calgary, including supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters and participating in humanitarian outreach initiatives.

Margaret is also deeply involved in international volunteer work in Costa Rica, supporting both environmental conservation and children’s welfare. She is involved with Tortugas Bahía Tambor, a turtle rescue and conservation initiative, as well as Casa CreSer, an orphanage dedicated to supporting and caring for vulnerable children in Costa Rica. These experiences reflect her lifelong commitment to compassion, community, and service.

Outside of work, Margaret enjoys crochet, fishing, running, and scuba diving — especially shark diving adventures. Her love for the ocean and nature has further inspired her commitment to conservation and wildlife protection.

Patients often describe Margaret as caring, genuine, and deeply dedicated to their wellbeing. For her, hearing care is about more than devices — it is about restoring confidence, strengthening relationships, and helping people feel connected to the world around them again.

At Hearing Art, Margaret combines decades of experience with a heartfelt commitment to providing hearing care that is personalized, supportive, and empowering.

At Hearing Art, we believe hearing care is about more than technology — it is about connection, compassion, gratitude, and giving back.

Our clinic was founded with the vision of creating a more personal and meaningful hearing care experience, where every patient feels heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. We understand that better hearing can transform relationships, confidence, and quality of life, and we are honoured to be part of that journey with our patients every day.

The meaning behind the Hearing Art logo reflects the heart of who we are. The logo is inspired by the actual symbol of gratitude, while also resembling the shape of a cochlea — the vital part of the inner ear responsible for hearing. To us, this connection beautifully represents both hearing and thankfulness: gratitude for the ability to help others, gratitude for the trust our patients place in us, and gratitude for the community that supports us.

At Hearing Art, gratitude is not just part of our identity — it is something we believe should be shared. That is why we donate $100 from every pair of hearing aids sold toward community and humanitarian initiatives. Giving back makes our work more meaningful and allows every patient to become part of something larger than themselves.

We are proud to serve our community with honesty, compassion, and personalized care, while continuing to support causes that create meaningful impact both locally and internationally.

At Hearing Art, helping people hear better is only part of our mission — helping people feel supported, connected, and valued is equally important.
